Get to Know me..
Hi, I'm Laura. Thank you so much for your interest in my work. I am based in the heart of the midlands in the beautiful Lakeland of Co.Westmeath.
A busy mother to 4 crazy beautiful children, 2 boys and 2 girls, and wife to my biggest supporter James. When I am not behind my camera lens or my laptop (being a photographer is so much more than taking the photo!) I am usually found on a GAA pitch shouting in from the sidelines at my kids matches or bringing them to training. I love meeting up for Tea (I dont drink coffee) with friends, the odd night out to get dressed up and dance (love a good boogie), love going to comedian shows (you cant beat a good belly laugh!) and a good binge on Netflix. My life is a whirlwind of love and chaos, just the way I like it.
My love for photography didn't start for the love of the art, that's never really been my thing, but more so from the love of photographs, and what they truly mean to me. I describe myself as a memory collector because that is exactly what I am. I have boxes upon boxes of old photos, some are even of family events from before I was born.
Photographs are a pretty special thing, something I think we can often under estimate the value of.
My main focus in all areas of my work is always the Mother. I have a passion for making mothers feel confident and comfortable. I care dearly about the familys I document. Every woman deserves to see how strong and incredible she is, especially through the eyes of her children. It's not about perfection, its about capturing the essence of who you are and the love that surrounds you.
It would be my honour to get to know your family and be your memory collector. To document the chapters of your story, preserving the magic of today for the generations to come.
