Christmas sessions are back for 2026… but this year, I’m changing things up a little.

Every year I put so much into creating something really special for Christmas. The sets, the lights, the little details, the treats. I want children to walk in and feel that excitement that only Christmas can bring.

But I also know that for little ones, it can sometimes be a lot.

A new place. A new person. Twinkling lights. Christmas sets. Being asked to smile for photographs. And before they’ve really had a chance to take it all in, it can feel like it’s time to go again.

So this year, I wanted to do things differently.

More time. Less rushing. More fun.

I wanted to make the experience feel less rushed and overwhelming for little ones, giving them time to settle in, enjoy the magic and actually have FUN while we create the most beautiful Christmas photographs.

Because I don't want your child to feel like they have to come in and perform for the camera.

• They don't have to sit perfectly.
• They don't have to smile on demand.
• And you definitely don't need to spend the whole session worrying about whether they're “cooperating”.

We'll give them a chance to settle, have a little look around and let their personality come through.

Because that's when we get the photographs you really want.

Completely NEW Christmas scenes

And now for one of my favourite parts…

I'm creating completely new Christmas scenes for 2026, and I honestly cannot wait for you to see them.

Every year I want to create something different, something that has that gorgeous Christmas feeling without losing the children underneath mountains of props and decorations. Our scenes are still top secret but think Narnia winter wonderland and nostalgic christmas tones and little elf door magic.... sssshhhh...

There'll be plenty of Christmas magic, beautiful details and lots for little eyes to take in, while still keeping the focus exactly where it should be…

On your family.

It's not just about the photographs

For me, Christmas at LM has never been about getting you in, taking a few quick photographs and sending you on your way.

I want it to feel like part of Christmas.

The lights. The excitement. The children's faces when they arrive. Hot chocolates. Gorgeous treats from our local baker. And a little time together as a family in the middle of one of the busiest times of the year.

Of course, you're coming away with beautiful Christmas photographs.

But I want the kids to come away saying they had fun too.

“But what if my child doesn't cooperate?”

I know this is one of the biggest worries parents have before booking a photoshoot. Please don't worry!

Children are children.

Some will walk straight in and own the place. Others need a little time to figure me out first!

That's exactly why I've changed the experience this year.

There's no expectation that your little one needs to behave a certain way for me to create beautiful photographs. We'll work with them, not against them.

Sometimes the little looks, the laughs, the cuddles and all the bits in between end up being the photographs you love most anyway.

Christmas photographs for the whole family

These sessions aren't just for the children either.

I really encourage Mum and Dad to get into the photographs.

I know it can be tempting to say, “Oh, just get some lovely ones of the kids.”

Get in.

Years from now, your children won't be looking at whether your hair was perfect or whether you had the Christmas outfit you imagined.

They'll just see their family at Christmas.

And you'll be very glad you were in them too.
