Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 30-35 weeks.
How do we book a newborn session with only a due date?
One of the only things in life you cannot predict! Don't worry, I provisionally book you in for your due date, as I only work on a selective number of newborns per month to guarantee every client receives the very best experience. Once your baby arrives I ask you to contact me 48 hours afterwards and we will select a date that suits us both, before baby is 3 weeks old.
When Should I book my Newborn Session?
It is best to book whilst you are still pregnant as newborn sessions are best done in the first 2 weeks of life. Babies are sleepy and generally easier at this age to pose but I do of course still love to capture babies of all ages so please just get in touch to discuss.
Am I too late to book after I've had my baby?
Of course not, just When your little bundle arrives get in touch and I will check if I have any availability.
Where do the sessions take place?
Your session will take place at my studio just outside Mullingar, in Castlepollard Co. Westmeath. I do also offer in home lifestyle newborn sessions, if this is something you would prefer just get in touch.
What to expect beforehand?
I like to build a relationship with my clients before their session so that I can ensure you will receive a session that meets your needs. I will arrange a simple consultation with you either by phone call or email, whatever suits you best. To confirm your booking, I will send you a link to sign your contract and also a payment link to forward the session fee. You will also receive a guide explaining what will happen during the session and some tips on how to make it run smoothly and enjoyable. You will receive a link to my full collections pricing and product details. I always recommend to clear your schedule for the day of your session. It is best not to avoid over stimulate and sometimes session may run over. Newborn session usually last 2-3 hours.
What Happens Afterwards?
Once the session is over we will make an appointment for you to return for your Gallery Viewing. This is usually about 3 weeks after your session date. During this time I will be carefully selecting your best images and professionally hand editing them. When you arrive back for the viewing you will get to sit back and relax to a beautiful slideshow and then have the chance to view each image in detail. We will go through the selection process and choose the products you would like to purchase.
